Wouldn't it be nice?

I'm fairly new to this tumblr thing.

I have a sick sense of humor which can be troubling to some. But hey, everyone needs to laugh...right? I also have a squishy soft side that enjoys rainbows and cute kitties.
I'm from the south.
I like a wide variety of music/tv/photography/food.
Proud mama of 2.
Love vintagey things - 30's to 70's eras.
I like to sing but suck at it.
Drink too much soda. Eat a lot of sushi.
The color green is my favorite. I always make a wish at 11:11.
Work full time with the disabled and terminally ill.
I have a variety of autoimmune issues as well as Epilepsy.
I realllly like to reblog! So sue me! ;-)

And that's me.
Of course it's not ALL me...there's more to me than what I can describe in this little box!
Let us be friends. You can call me Deb. Or Al ;-)

"Scar tissue" from the "perforate" series.
I’m currently studying sculpture and combined media. This piece is a sculpture but through the media of photography.
My work explores repetition, duration and obsession through mark making. I examine repetition through techniques such as perforation, drawing and cutting. The shapes which take form have no intended pattern, they are random and unintentional, this highlights the meditation effect creating these pieces can have.
These sculptures are also a representation of unconscious energy, the process involved becomes an automatic impulse.
